05-15-2012 – Last day to turn in Financial and Troop status reports… turn in SUD folder. Reminder any troop that does not turn in financial paperwork by the 15th will not ….WILL NOT receive their cookie bonus… this rule is part of the troop cookie manual page 21… see below… This is not a rule that I came up as many have asked me about it.. it is GSCTX and I am just following the rules….
Troop Bonuses
Each troop is eligible to earn a Troop Bonus of $2.40 per case. This bonus is paid to troops who fulfill ALL of the necessary requirements, which are:
1. Troop Coordinator attended training. – WHICH MEANS IF SOMEONE OTHER THAN THE PERSON WHOM TOOK TRAINING ENDED UP BEING THE TROOP COOKIE COORDINATOR THERE WILL BE NO BONUS.. THIS DOES AFFECT A FEW TROOPS IN OUR AREA….
2. Council proceeds were successfully paid via ACH as outlined in 2011-2012 Troop Banking Procedures –
3. Total final returns must be equal to or less than 1%. (ALL TROOPS IN OUR SU WERE UNDER 1% - YOU NEED TO THANK KATHY FOR THAT…
4. Turn in Troop Financial Report to SU Treasurer by May 15 to be turned in to Council by June1, 2012. – DON’T DELAY – SEE ABOVE I HAVE GIVEN YOU SEVERAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR HELP AND TURN IN DIRECTLY TO ME OR YOU NEED TO TURN INTO MY FOLDER THE 15TH.
NOTE: Troops that do not fulfill all requirements or meet all deadlines will NOT earn a bonus.

Information for You……
ECPC Shop - Reminder of previous email sent about GS Shop. Supplies are limited on old program badges therefore you need to place your orders quickly so that Tammy can fill your orders. Remember it will be easier on you if you pre order your shop order to Tammy by email, she can then fill the order and check you out when you come in. Less stress for both of you and saves you time. If it works best for you… and you are planning on attending the May SU meeting... coordinate w/ Tammy and get your supplies that night as she will have the shop open till 7:45 pm for us.
100 Year Bridging– cost is free – event date is May 19
th at 5pm at the ECPC. Brandy Hawkins is heading the activity. You may contact her via her cell phone at 650-1558 or her email is
brandy.hawkins@angelo.edu . Since the activity is free and everyone (girls and families) are welcome to attend… they will be having a barbeque after the ceremony. Everyone is responsible to bring items for the barbeque. Contact Brandy for details. This is an open activity and since there is no event fee cost, no need for registration paperwork. However you will need to contact Brandy Hawkins for all the details.

(Please let me know when you place a Troop Travel Application in my folder – since I am not at the GS office everyday. I only go by or try to go by once a week.)
CPSU Camp Out Committee – Open invitation for anyone willing to help with the camp out. This meeting is to go over the information collected thus far on available dates and locations gathered to date. Suggestions are welcome. Be advised – a Service Unit Camp can only be successful w/ an army of volunteers… we need you to come and be part of this committee. If we don’t have volunteers step forward we will not have a camp out. We have two months to form a committee... If by late June there is not a good number of volunteers the Camp Out will be canceled.
Troop 5007 Request – Patti’s troop is planning a camping trip for June 23rd. She is asking to borrow 2 6-man tents. If anyone can lend them please contact Patti via cell phone 325-656-5980 and she texts too.
